About me
Franziska Gite
Licensed physician (German Approbation) · focus areas: osteopathic treatment and medically supervised fasting
“Medicine that is human and listens matters deeply to me.” That sentence has stood over my work for years – and it is the reason for my own practice for preventive medicine in Potsdam-Babelsberg: a place where an initial consultation lasts 60 to 90 minutes, the diagnostics follow the question being asked, and conventional medicine and complementary approaches are not opposites.
My path
I am a fully licensed physician (Approbation). Over many years I have accompanied patients in hospitals and practices – most recently as a physician with an osteopathic focus in Potsdam-Babelsberg. Alongside my clinical work I completed five years of part-time osteopathic training and pursued further education in natural medicine and in fasting and nutritional medicine.
Movement plays a particular role for me: from many years of my own experience in professional dance I know what bodies are capable of – and what they need in order to keep doing it. That knowledge flows into my osteopathic work just as much as into the movement recommendations that are part of every prevention plan.
How I work
- Understand first, then treat. A detailed medical history and carefully selected laboratory diagnostics are the basis of every recommendation.
- Honest about the evidence. I will tell you what is well supported scientifically, what is promising but uncertain – and what I would advise against.
- Complementing, not replacing. My support is meant to complement specialist treatment – in coordination with it, never on its own.
- With time. Appointments at my practice are planned so that there is room for your questions.
- In English or German. Consultations, examinations, and results discussions are available in either language – whichever you are more comfortable in.
You will find the practice at Spindelstraße 5a, 14482 Potsdam-Babelsberg.
I arrange appointments personally – and I would be glad to hear from you.
